Activity 1 - Learning Lab
It is a one-day-long activity that aims to raise awareness and enhance knowledge about the social death phenomenon among partners, adult educators, psychologists, and SME representatives. During this activity, partners are expected to provide insights about the social death phenomenon from diverse perspectives, including:
-
The social death phenomenon from the occupational safety perspective
-
The social death phenomenon from the adult teaching perspective
-
Influence of social death on the workforce During this activity, partners also collect information on the experiences and challenges of target groups, thus better equipping them to have a full picture of the social death phenomenon from the perspective of target groups.
Activity 2 - Baseline Mapping Report of Social Death Awareness
The baseline mapping report is the result of a survey that includes items developed based on the perspectives, challenges, needs, and definitions that emerged during Activity 1 (i.e., the learning lab). The survey (developed as a part of this activity) aims to reach at least 96 target groups (e.g., adult educators, SME representatives, and adult learners). The baseline report bases its origins on the results of this survey and provides a comprehensive baseline situation analysis for the social death phenomenon among the aforementioned target groups.
Activity 3 - Digital Guide "Social Isolation Schema: pattern explication
The digital guide forms include topics that are derived based on the needs and challenges highlighted in the baseline mapping report. The interactive content targets both adult educators, SMEs, and individuals who experience social death. From the perspective of adult educators and SMEs, the digital guide can be utilized to understand the social deprivation pathway and scheme development as a means to understand the development phase of the social death phenomenon, enhancing recognition, empathy, and interventions for socially dead individuals. From the perspective of socially dead individuals (or those who have potential risks of experiencing social death), the digital guide serves the purpose of raising awareness regarding the existence of the social death phenomenon, providing advice on reducing the risk of developing a social isolation scheme, and allowing them to experience decision-making scenarios by representing the potential consequences of their choices.
Activity 4- Social Death Awareness Campaign and Follow-up
The social death awareness campaign aims to maximize the reach of a wider audience for the project-related materials. The campaign plan aimed to be established to ensure maximum reach for the target groups (e.g., adult educators, SME representatives, adult learners, etc.). The campaigns are planned to be designed as kick-off events and one main event per country. During the event, the target groups are presented with the materials (e.g., a digital guide) and expected to increase their knowledge and skills about the social death phenomenon. Following the events that have taken place in each country, a follow-up survey is conducted and a follow-up report is developed to engage in comparison with the baseline report, with the goal of measuring advancement in the knowledge of social death among target groups.
