CARE Project Featured on EPALE: Understanding and Addressing Social Isolation in Adult Life

Updated: Jun 2

The CARE Project is pleased to announce the publication of an article on the EPALE community platform, highlighting the growing challenge of social isolation in adult life and the importance of coordinated action to address it.

The article, “Understanding and Addressing Social Isolation in Adult Life: Insights from the CARE Project,” explores the causes and consequences of social isolation, a phenomenon that affects individuals across different age groups and social backgrounds. It also presents key insights from the CARE Project’s work to raise awareness of social death, promote social inclusion, and support adult educators, organisations, and communities in building stronger human connections.

Through research, awareness activities, and the development of practical educational resources, the CARE Project aimed to empower professionals and citizens to recognise the signs of social isolation and contribute to more inclusive and supportive environments.

We invite all stakeholders, adult educators, social practitioners, policymakers, and community members to read the article and join the conversation on fostering connection, empathy, and participation in society.
